As earlier obtained from the family of one Mr Raheem Ridwan who was said to have been arrested by men of the IGP XSQUAD in Abeokuta on Thursday 13th February, 2020 on allegation of investigating a general petition against all car dealers in Abeokuta.
Information reaching the press from the same family of Mr Raheem Ridwan now affirms that he was indeed arrested but not by the IGP XSQUAD but TACTICAL SQUAD. According to the family source and based on the prompt and immediate intervention of the Nigeria Police authority on the matter, the family wishes to immensely thank the Nigeria Police and at the same time apologize for any inconveniences the earlier publication might have had on the good and ongoing efforts by the Police authority under the leadership of IGP Mohammed Adamu and his management team to better reposition the Nigeria Police.
The family also appreciates the effort of the office of the Force PRO, DCP Frank Mba and his Deputy for showing that the Force PRO’s office is truly for the masses, especially the less privileged.
They also appreciate the PCRC Southwest leadership for the good partnership with the Police and immediate response on the arrest of their loved one.
According to them, the fear of not knowing the location and well being of their cherished son at some point, necessitated the earlier release on the subject matter but now, and with the immediate response and show of concern by the Nigeria Police authority, their loved one has now been located and about to be released unconditionally.
